About our locking pliers
With smooth, rounded edges and recessed rivets, Steritool's Critical series stainless steel locking pliers are ideal for use in sterile environments. Flat surfaces allow for easy cleaning, and the smooth gliding locking mechanism enables easy one-handed opening and closing. Body and springs are 304 SS, jaws are 420 SS. A useful addition to any sterile or aseptic processing maintenance tool kit.

Steritool's original Industrial series stainless steel locking pliers have hex nuts in place of rivets. Body and jaws are 420 SS, springs, nuts and bolts are 304 SS. Still a dependable, durable tool, suitable for sterilizing over long-term use.

420 is a martensitic stainless steel alloy.
This alloy is magnetic.
304 is an austenitic, non magnetic alloy. Due to the contact between the jaws, body, and rivets, the 304 body may retain a weak magnetism.
