Nylon Handles Being Discontinued

Steritool will be replacing all Nylon handle items with a new light weight ( hollow) 316L Stainless Steel handle.

We still have inventory on some Nylon handle items. Once they are sold out, the item will be updated one the website to reflect the new handle option.

Product Price Evaluation

Steritool is currently evaluating the pricing on all of our products, a review that has not been conducted regularly for quite some time. The recent increase in material and labor costs has made it necessary for us to closely examine our cost versus our selling price.

We have found that we have been selling more than half of our items at or below cost. However, we have also identified many items where we are able to lower the selling price. We will be implementing these necessary changes and updating our website between now and the end of the year.

Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, we plan to evaluate cost and pricing every 3–6 months to ensure our pricing remains competitive and sustainable.

Product Alert - Tweezers

Steritool is going to be transitioning to Non-Magnetic tweezers as current inventory is depleted.

Currently, our tweezers are made from a 400 series stainless steel, which is magnetic.

As were run out our current inventory we will be replacing those items with 300 series stainless steel, which is non-magnetic.

There will be no effect to form, fit or function other than the magnetism.

Adjustable Hook Wrench: Design & Price Change.

Due to continued supply chain issues, rising cost of production, transportation, RAW material and the availability of skilled workers, we have changed the design and manufacturing process of our ADJUSTABLE HOOK WRENCHES. These changes allow us better control over the quality and a shorter turn around.

Here are some key points:

#1 - All components are now 316L Stainless Steel.

#2 - Better grip and strength due to increased thickness of hook/jaw as follows:

10221 = .156" thick. Will become .250" thick.

10222 = .200" thick. Will become .375" thick.

10223 = .277" thick. Will become .500" thick.

10224 was .320" thick. Is now .500" thick.

10225 = .490" thick. Will become .625" thick.

#3 - Each and every one of us at Steritool are consumers in our professional and personal lives. The last thing we want to do is pay more for anything... unfortunately, quality products made in USA come with a price. We are forced to increase the price of each wrench by about 20%.

Example: #10224 has increased from $121.44 each to $145.00 each. Other wrenches in this family will also increase as we complete production and replace old design with new design.

#4 - 5 pc Hook Wrench Set #10226 will ship with mixed designs for the foreseeable future. Old design inventory will be replaced with new design as we sell out of the old design. Until we sell out of all old inventory we will be shipping the set with a mix of both old and new designs.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the design change and price increase may cause. We greatly appreciate your support as we work hard to support your industry with a quality products.

300 series Stainless Steel = LOW TORQUE APPLICATION ONLY

All tools made from 300 series Stainless Steel including but not limited to 303, 304, 316, 316L, etc are for low torque applications only.

Please review the following TORQUE TEST for a comparison of how much torque the various alloys we use can handle.

NEW LOOK: 10130TC

In the next few months, our part # 10130TC will ship with a different look. Our next batch of 10130TC will omit the gold coating on the handle. This will minimize the chance of any contamination as the tool ages. There will be no change to the quality, warranty, or our dedication to customer service.

If your facility uses both 10130TC and 10130SS, there are three ways to identify the parts:

#1 - Laser etched part #.

#2 - The finish: 10130SS = matte finish. 10130TC = semi gloss finish. The change in the finish was implemented to make the TC insert standout.

#3 - Visual inspection of the cutters for the TC inserts

This new offering takes us back to our roots:

Steritool was originally named NAUTITOOL (Nautical Tools), a company which focused on supplying Stainless Steel Hand Tools and Tie-Downs to the marine industry.

NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT

STERITOOL has announced a new line of Stainless Steel Adjustable Hook Wrenches with interchangeable PINs.

Starting with #10223_PIN, the new line of adjustable hook wrenches will come with interchangeable PINs, making them a must have tool capable of replacing several fixed pin hook wrenches.

Improving on the popular #10223, the #10223_PIN gives the end user the ability to carry one hook wrench which fits a variety of applications. #10223_PIN comes with a 1/8", 3/16", and a 1/4" PIN. The PINs are retained in the adjustable jaw via set screw.

Custom diameter and length pins are available to suit your needs.

As with all STERITOOL products, the new hook wrenches are made from Stainless Steel making them ideal for use in a clean rooms, glove boxes, laboratories, food processing plants, medical processing plants, or other critical environments. Furthermore, they are compatible with a variety of autoclave, sterilization, and wash down processes currently implemented at your facility where other stainless steel tools or instruments are processed.

New 3/8RD Ratchet announced! (#10596 REV B)

STERITOOL has redesigned its 3/8DR Ratchet #10596. Now a two pc design.

The new design is composed of a handle and a ratcheting head assembly which are welded together. This gives great flexibility for those customers who wish to have a different handle.

Now we can build you a 3/8DR ratchet with a longer, shorter, thicker, thinner, offset, or any other custom handle you can think of.

Customers can also purchase the head assembly, allowing them to customize it to their specific needs.
